Well, wake up America, they are about ready to do it again!
Our 11% approval rate legislature will probably get a bill passed in the senate that looks like a 1000 slices of swiss cheese. Hopefully our House of Representatives will not kowtow to this attempt to bamboozle all of us.
A few thoughts from the grumpy old man:
In my previous blog, I brought up a few of the facts and myths about border security. Please read that post if you have not already.
Here are some more thoughts:
Our govt. is quick to push numbers at us that are completely false, such as our under 8% unemployment rate and others of the same ilk. When they say there are 11 million undocumented workers (read that as illegal aliens) I just want to know how they figured that out. Did they all sign their name on a document as they sneaked (or walked across boldly in our section of Arizona) across the border? Our CBO just put out another dream number of how many billions the new bill will bring in when all these people start paying taxes.
With the proposed "path to citizenship" requiring that illegals register, pay fines, pay back taxes, pass a background check, then wait ten years to obtain legal status, how many people do you think will take that route? How many employers that utilize illegal labor to be competitive in their market will take on the burden of extra payroll and medicare taxes, and also Obamacare?
AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!
And don't get me started on the wall! See the picture in my previous post of our border in this part of AZ. We have a big wall for a few miles then it changes back to barbed wire. Whenever they take our senators and congressmen to see the border, its not the three strands of wire!
WAKE UP and tell your rep that we want 99% verifiable security before legalization occurs. AND we want a bill that deals strictly with that before even thinking about a new immigration law. Just enforce the ones that we already have!

Solutions for America - Border Security
Border Security
With the administration playing games around “Immigration Reform” there has to be some common sense applied.
In the first thing, our immigration policy is in fine shape, always has been. We could use a little “guest Worker” additions, and maybe put a “Brain Drain” on some countries with incentives, but what is needed is something to deal with ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. Who in the heck needs to call it “Immigration” anyway, it is simply people who are illegally entering the United States without passing through the legal immigration process (Which millions of people in the world are waiting patiently in line for) and those who illegally overstay their visa.
And yes, they should be called “Illegal Aliens”, not the PC “undocumented workers” When did we get started on this PC crap anyway, it “Scabs my Ass”!!
Both the left and the right in politics are trying to convince us that they are serious about stopping the illegals, but neither is being truthful with us. The left has always tried to stop any meaningful efforts to stem this tide, and now the right, after last election is getting on the bandwagon since it seems Republicans can’t get elected without Hispanic Support.
I am not against Illegal Aliens, per se, and if I was one of them living under the conditions that they do, I would be the first one to be stepping through those few strands of barb wire that we have here in AZ for most of our border.

What I am against is the fact that our government does nothing to stop the flow, they make it more and more appealing for these people to come here every day. The employers who hire them at the detriment of local citizens, the failure of the government to crack down on employers, the failure to require mandatory E-verify, and a host of other things, including access to free healthcare via our emergency rooms, and on and on.
As an example, a couple of years ago I had a serious thing happen to me. I called my doctor and he said for me to go to the emergency room immediately. Liz and I drove to Sierra Vista Hospital and checked in at 2pm. After three hours of waiting, it seemed that I was no closer to being admitted than when I got there, and there were at least 50 other people waiting, 48 of who were Hispanic. (I cannot say that they were all illegals). I ended up checking myself out and going home.
When Regan gave the illegals amnesty, he was promised enhanced enforcement of the border which never happened and subsequently we now have al the people that he granted amnesty to PLUS another 12 million (that’s what they say in the govt., so it is probably 15 million in reality). Already with the “Gang of 8” talking about new programs, all through South America it is being advertised that if you want to get to be a citizen of America, get your butt up there right now before it is too late. This weekend Rubio was all over the talk shows with the rudiments of the plan. After hearing that, I am sure that our border was crawling with people trying to get in to take advantage of the amnesty (Yes Virginia it is AMNESTY) def: the act of an authority (as a government) by which pardon is granted to a large group of individuals.
Wow, I got off on too much stuff there, Back to the topic………..
Since in our last blog we brought all the troops home from the Middle East, we have a lot of guys and gals that need a job. If we cannot build a wall (take a look at the wall in Israel, it works fine) along our border that actually stops illegal traffic (both workers and drugs), we could at least put someone down there with a gun to shoot whoever tries to cross. A few well publicized shootings of illegal crossers would go a long way to stopping the flow. Why the heck do we issue weapons to Border Patrol if we don’t let them use force to stop traffic? Considering the cost of illegal aliens to our economy, the cost of preventing them would probably be a drop in the bucket. I started writing a book about a detailed solution to our border problem a few years ago. I did a lot of research into what the illegals really cost our country and it is staggering. You can be sure it is not truthfully told by our government since as I stated above that they don’t want it to stop. How many times have you heard the statement “We can put a man on the moon, but…….”? It is true, this is the greatest country in the world for getting things done, all we have to do is create the incentive to do it, be it security or monetary gain. Give me the equivalent salary of a dozen border security agents and their administrative costs and I will personally take responsibility for a mile of the border. Guarantee no crossings in my sector, not the normal “we apprehended 3 out of 10 crossers”.
Come on! If you didn’t catch them how do you know how many there were? I am sick and tired of our government thinking we are idiots, if you want to believe any figures coming out of D.C., then you fit that category.
If you live in a border area, you know what is going on. The vast majority of the border agents are miles from the border at designated checkpoints, and roving around in between. I lived 2.5 miles from the border for a few years until recently. I saw only one group of illegals on my property, since it is fairly developed. I called them in to USBP, but we waited for a couple of hours and never saw anyone come out to get them.
Bottom line, is that we have to have REAL border security before we even think about talking about a “Path to Legalization” otherwise we are kidding ourselves.
For study, google some of the other countries around the Americas, and even other places in the world and see why they have no border security problems.
Well that will have to do it for now, don’t want to loose your attention span – lol
Stay tuned for next week when I give an intelligent BLOG about “Iran and the Bomb”

Solutions for America, A new series of Blogs by Ken
I have the need to vent!
Sometimes what is going on around us in this country and around the world just get to weighing too much not to rant. While Rowdy is ranting about everyday life things, I want to take the time to talk about some common sense solutions to the problems in this world as I see it.
This series of blogs is my opinion and my opinion alone (unless you agree with me, then it can be yours too).
The subject of the first blog is the mideast and our presence there.
It has become increasingly apparent to me that there is absolutely no way we are going to influence the radical islamists (oops, not PC) to give up their ways and bring their population into the 19th century (not a typo). It is in the interest of the ruling fundamental muslim clerics to keep their population in the dark ages. Enlightenment and education (especially for women) is discouraged and they are all pretty much forced (through Sharia law) to toe the cleric line.
There is also no effort on the part of our government to directly address the subject of radical islamists, much less use the term. The administration's statements that Al Qaida is on the run are ludicrous, and the Taliban (in light of our departure deadline) are set to take over the corrupt regime of Afghanistan the minute we leave. What are we waiting for, do we need to sacrifice more blood and treasure to wait for an inevitable ending?
So here is my common sense solution to the problem:
1. Effective immediately, remove all our troops and embassies from country's that hate us, including ones like Saudi Arabia and Egypt who we pretend are our friends.
2. Stop all foreign aid to those countries.
3. Here is the neat part: Immediately develop our VAST oil reserves and the Canadian pipeline. Now we are not DEPENDENT upon these countries who just milk us for money and turn it into arms against us.
4. Issue the following statement to the WORLD:
"The United States of America hereby states that any country that sponsors an attack against any American person or business will be subject to retaliation, immediate and severe. The US will not attack innocent civilian populations in these countries, but will severely devastate infrastructure in those offending countries, (oil fields, refineries, etc.) We have the means to do this with no risk to our own population, but at a great risk to yours. The US will not seek United Nations, or any other world powers before retaliating for any attack."
While we are on that subject, we will evict the United Nations from the US within 1 year, since nothing that is done in that building is ever in our favor and we bear the greatest burden of cost for this non-performing entity. Let one of the countries that hates us put up a building for them.
5. Since we removed the troops from those countries, I have a use for them on our border, but that will be in my next blog on "How to Secure the Border".
6. STOP IRAN from getting a nuke! (another blog subject upon which I have some expertise, and of course opinions)
That is about all that I want to put in this first blog, I could go on and on, but enough is enough for now.
I would really love it if some of you would respond. I promise to address any comments that are put to me in good faith.

Rowdy Rants to be published by Outlaw Magazine
Outlaw Magazine has agreed to publish my Rowdy Rants, originally started as a way to share my uncensored thoughts with you the fans. It's through these Rowdy Rants that I feel the freedom to say what's on my mind, which may not always be a good thing. Sometimes topical, sometimes political and sometimes just a bit of humor. Either way I look forward to reaching a whole new audience out there one rant at a time. Stay tuned... Rowdy
